Building our snowman
Our Kindergarten group worked as a team to build our very own snowman made out of plastic cups and a handy stapler. It’s kind of difficult to bring a real snowman to our Christmas party without it melting in half an hour. But it’s much easier to make our own! Since we are using plastic cups for this, we thought eco is the way to go.
After we learnt how to challenge our hand muscles and use a stapler we began piecing together our cups and stapling these together.
As we joined the snowman's body to his head we could really see the design taking shape. We stapled the plastic cups like shown in the images, until we created a nice ball for our snowman. We used the smaller cups for the head. We then stapled the two together.
To finish, we added a few accents with a scarf and a hat to give our snowman some character. We decorated him with the coloured paper and the cups were filled to make eyes, nose and buttons. Imagine all sorts of accessories, like that neat hat in the picture. We made a funny nose out of a paper cone made from an orange coloured paper.
And there you have it! Our own little snowman made of nothing much but some odd number of cups, some glue and staple, and miscellaneous things you don’t need to fret over much.
